Allround Mechanic Construction

As an Allround Mechanic Construction, you work independently on assembling, welding, and fitting steel and stainless-steel constructions in our factory. Thanks to your broad skill set, you will work on a wide variety of structures, from smaller assemblies to larger tanks, frames, and piping systems, directly contributing to the quality and progress of our production. Based on your expertise, you determine the correct sequence of work and approach within the assignment and ensure a high-quality completion of the work. You report to the Team Leader Construction and work closely with fellow construction fitters, welders, and employees from adjacent production departments.

Location: Koog aan de Zaan
Position in the organization: The role is part of the Construction department and reports directly to the Team Leader Construction. You work within a team of colleagues in the Construction department, consisting of construction fitters, allround mechanics, and project mechanics who are jointly responsible for assembling, welding, and finishing steel and stainless-steel structures and machine components.
Internal connections: The work is mainly carried out at the production site in Koog aan de Zaan. A few times per year, you may be assigned to jobs in the Netherlands or abroad. Coordination takes place mainly internally within the production organization and with adjacent departments such as Engineering, Assembly, and Machining.

Your Tasks:

• Receiving and checking technical drawings, work preparation data, and materials
• Independently performing measuring, marking, cutting, drilling, grinding, bending, and fitting tasks
• Assembling, tack welding, and welding steel and stainless-steel constructions and machine parts
• Applying TIG, MIG, and MAG welding processes depending on material and required quality level
• Fabricating and modifying piping systems, including simple hydraulic, pneumatic, and process piping
• Performing dimensional checks, visual weld inspections, and fitting checks during production
• Identifying and assessing deviations in drawings, dimensions, materials, or weld quality
• Finishing and post-processing components to the required quality standard
• Accurately recording worked time per order
• Ensuring proper maintenance of welding equipment, tools, and accessories
• Supporting adjacent production activities where needed based on planning and priorities
• Working in accordance with applicable safety, quality, and environmental regulations
