Your Responsibilities
As an Allround Operator Machining / CNC Milling Operator, you will work independently on the production of more complex components for our machines within our machining department. You are widely deployable across multiple machines and monitor both the production process and product quality. You will have a varied role with interesting projects that you will complete together with your colleagues.
Location: Koog aan de Zaan
Position in the organization: This role is part of the Machining department and reports directly to the Team Leader Machining. You also regularly interact with the Production Manager.
Team size: You will work with a team of operators within the machining department. The team consists of (junior) Operators, Allround Operators, and Senior Machining Operators, with close collaboration with the Team Leader Machining and the Quality Controller.
Your Tasks:
- Receiving and reviewing technical drawings and work preparation data
- Independently determining the correct clamping, tools, and machining sequence for each assignment
- Setting up and operating multiple conventional and CNC machines
- Performing milling, boring, and drilling operations on more complex parts
- Carrying out CNC machining operations
- Performing basic programming tasks and program adjustments within defined limits
- Monitoring product quality through intermediate measurements and control points according to drawings
- Timely identifying deviations and taking appropriate action within applicable guidelines
- Correctly completing measurement reports and recording time per order
- Determining an efficient work sequence within the weekly planning
- Switching between machines and operations based on production needs
- Performing first-line maintenance and resolving minor malfunctions where possible
- Transferring finished products and relevant production information to the next operation
- Working according to safety, environmental, occupational health, and quality requirements, and maintaining an orderly workplace
Your Profile
You have a solid technical background and feel responsible for quality, progress, and collaboration. You also enjoy working with colleagues and helping each other where needed.
- MBO level 3–4 working and thinking level, preferably in machining
- Several years of relevant experience in machining within a production environment
- Experience with both conventional and CNC turning and milling machines
- Basic knowledge of CNC programming, CAD/CAM, and offline programming
- Good understanding of machining techniques, materials, measurement methods, and ISO fits and tolerances
- Experience using measuring instruments and hand tools
- Accurate, proactive, flexible, and quality-oriented
- Team-oriented and able to work independently within planning and deadlines
- Proficiency in Dutch and/or English
