Your Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing our existing front-end applications. In doing so, you will ensure that our user interfaces are modern, high-performing, and user-friendly. You will work closely with UX/UI designers (m/f/d), back-end colleagues, and other stakeholders (m/fd), contributing your expertise to actively further develop our front-end architecture, toolchains, and development processes.
Location: Emmerich, with the option of hybrid working.
Organizational classification: The position is within the Software Engineering department and reports directly to the Head of Application Engineering.
Team size: You will be working in a growing team that currently consists of 12 developers. The mix of specialized front-end and back-end experts and full-stack all-rounders offers you a strong professional environment with plenty of opportunities for exchange and mutual support.
International connections: Due to the global orientation of our company, you will be in regular contact with international locations, especially with our teams in Europe and beyond. Many projects are carried out in intercultural, cross-location teams.
Your Tasks:
- Design and implementation of modern web applications for controlling and monitoring industrial machines and systems
- Active participation in an agile software development process in close cooperation with backend developers, UI/UX designers, and related departments
- Planning and implementation of web-based projects, APIs, and web services, as well as ensuring their quality and performance through regular code reviews and tests
- Participation in the design and optimization of existing user interfaces (UI/UX)
- Taking over second-level support for our global external and internal customer base
Your Profile:
- Successfully completed degree in computer science/electrical engineering with relevant experience as a front-end developer (m/f/d)
- Strong expertise in the design and implementation of modern SPAs with Angular, TypeScript, and SCSS
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and their integration into front-end applications
- Basic knowledge of C#, ASP.NET Core, and Microsoft Azure desirable
- Enjoyment of conceptual work and enthusiasm for innovative technologies in mechanical and plant engineering
- Willingness to travel occasionally (max. 20%)
