About PROBAT
Your Responsibilities
You design the OT security architecture of the PROBAT Group across our products and customer-oriented digital solutions. Your focus is on firmly embedding security by design into machines, control systems, and software, thereby enabling secure, future-proof solutions for our customers. To achieve this, you define technical standards and blueprints, evaluate existing OT and IT/OT architectures together with the specialist departments, and derive targeted improvements—always with a focus on product quality, customer value, and global scalability.
Your Tasks:
- You define and design a global OT security architecture for PROBAT control systems, machines, and digital solutions.
- You are responsible for implementing a company-wide target architecture for secure OT and IT/OT designs—from machines to digital platforms.
- You develop global OT security standards as well as corresponding structural principles and technical blueprints that apply worldwide to products, projects, and customer solutions.
- You ensure that these standards are applied consistently, further developed, and scaled.
- You embed security by design as an integral part of product, control system, and software development.
- You support global development and engineering teams in implementing the defined security architectures.
- You analyze existing control system, network, and system designs across locations and products.
- You derive global optimization and harmonization potentials from these analyses.
- You act as the central subject-matter authority for OT security within PROBAT.
- In this context, you work closely with software development, engineering, IT, and product management on a global level.
- You support knowledge transfer and enable the organization in OT security topics.
Your Profile
- Completed degree or comparable qualification in IT, automation engineering, information security, or electrical engineering.
- Relevant experience with industrial control systems, automation systems, and OT networks, ideally within global organizations.
- Solid knowledge of relevant standards and frameworks such as the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), IEC 62443, or comparable OT security approaches.
- Practical experience in defining target architectures, standards, and technical guardrails across multiple products and locations.
- Enjoyment in advising, moderating, and influencing global stakeholders, as well as very good German and English language skills.
