Your Responsibilities
Your responsibilities:
You are responsible for the development and programming of PLC controls and visualization systems for our machines and facilities. Together with our team, you design innovative automation solutions for the food industry.
Location: Dresden
Organizational placement: The position is within the Automation department and reports directly to the department head.
Team:
You work in a team of five colleagues at the Dresden location. Additionally, you maintain close communication with the automation teams at our international locations.
International collaboration:
Due to the global orientation of our corporate group, regular coordination with international colleagues is part of your daily work. Good English skills are therefore advantageous.
Your tasks:
- Programming of PLC controls and visualization systems for our machines and facilities
- Development of standard libraries as well as project-specific special functions
Maintenance and further development of existing software solutions - Execution of software and functional tests
- Creation and maintenance of electrical documentation
- Design, dimensioning, and constructive processing of electrical controls
Support for our service and commissioning teams in troubleshooting and system commissioning - Review and clarification of technical order specifications
- Development and continuous optimization of control concepts
- Technical documentation as well as collaboration with customers worldwide who produce products such as chocolate, coffee, and other food items
Your Profile
- Completed studies or further training as a technician (m/f/d) in the field of automation technology, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or comparable
- Good knowledge of PLC programming, ideally with Siemens controllers
Experience with the CAE system EPLAN is an advantage - Knowledge of relevant national and international standards, guidelines, and requirements
- Experience in programming safety controllers and fail-safe PLC solutions
- Independent, structured, and goal-oriented working style
- Communicative competence and enjoyment of working in international and interdisciplinary teams
- Good English skills, both spoken and written
