Your Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the electrical engineering design, development, and implementation of control systems for the coffee and food industries—from the initial concept through to market launch. In this role, you will create electrical documentation, design and size control systems, and work closely with our engineering, project management, and production teams, as well as with our international subsidiaries. You will also ensure compliance with applicable standards and safety regulations, support our service teams during commissioning, and contribute your technical expertise to the preparation of sales proposals.

This position is part of the Engineering department and reports directly to the Group Manager/Department Manager. You will join a team of 15 EPLAN Engineers at our Emmerich site, collaborating on the electrical design and implementation of our projects. In addition, you will work closely with our five-member team in Koog across locations. For the Koog team, we provide complete electrical engineering services as well as control panel manufacturing. We are also increasingly taking on additional engineering responsibilities for other international locations. Close collaboration across sites is an integral part of our daily work and a key element of our project execution, alongside regular coordination with our global locations to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and in line with our worldwide standards.

Your Tasks:

  • Develop electrical concepts and create comprehensive electrical documentation in close collaboration with the relevant departments, from the initial idea through to project completion.
  • Design, specify, size, and prepare technical specifications for electrical control systems used in the coffee and food industries.
  • Coordinate closely with our engineering, project management, and production teams, as well as with our subsidiaries worldwide.
  • Support product development projects and plan and implement the market launch of new products.
  • Provide technical training to the service team and support troubleshooting during commissioning.
  • Review and clarify technical order specifications to ensure the feasibility of the contractually agreed scope, schedule, and deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Provide technical support in the preparation of customer proposals and quotations for the Sales department.

Your Profile

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or qualification as a State-Certified Electrical Engineering Technician (or equivalent).
  • Experience with the EPLAN Electric P8 CAE system, including the EPLAN Pro Panel and EPLAN Routing add-ons.
  • Knowledge of relevant national and international standards, codes, and regulations, including IEC and UL.
  • Experience in designing and engineering automation solutions based on Siemens and Rockwell Automation platforms, including the associated fieldbus systems.
  • Good written and spoken English skills.
  • A structured, detail-oriented, and goal-focused approach to work, with a willingness to quickly familiarize yourself with new tasks and technologies.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a passion for driving innovative engineering projects.
  • Willingness to take ownership and responsibility, as well as occasional international travel.

We Offer You

  • A strong team in a future-oriented company.
  • An attractive salary package.
  • Flat hierarchies and direct communication.
