Your Responsibilities
You will be responsible for carrying out incoming goods inspections and checking parts and assemblies against drawings, order documents, and quality assurance specifications. In doing so, you will ensure that all components meet quality requirements, approve parts in accordance with specifications, or coordinate closely with design, manufacturing, and purchasing. In addition, you will perform functional and dimensional tests, evaluate surfaces, shapes, and weld seams, and accompany inspections of manufactured machines both at the factory and at global suppliers. You will also process complaints, document and analyze test results, initiate measures in the event of deviations, and actively participate in the optimization of our testing procedures.
Location: Emmerich am Rhein/with regular travel
Organizational classification: The position is located within the Production/Procurement department and reports directly to the department management.
Team size: You will work as part of a team of 3 colleagues.
Your Tasks:
- Carrying out incoming goods inspections and checking parts and assemblies against drawings, order documents, and quality assurance specifications
- Approving parts within the scope of specifications or after consultation with the design, production, and purchasing departments (production approval/restricted stock)
- Preparing measuring and operating equipment and performing tests (e.g., function, dimensional checks, surface quality, dimensional accuracy)
- Acceptance of manufactured machines (test station) and parts in production or globally on site at suppliers, testing of individual components and assemblies for function, and evaluation of weld seams on steel structures
- Processing of complaints and support of suppliers
- Documentation and evaluation of results, identification of deviations, and initiation, description, and tracking of measures
- Optimization of test procedures
Your Profile
- Successfully completed training as an industrial mechanic (m/f/d) or comparable
- Relevant professional experience, preferably in the field of quality assurance in mechanical and plant engineering
- Welding skills
- Experience in using measuring tools and competence in reading and understanding technical drawings and parts lists
- Knowledge of MS Office and ideally also AMS ++
- Solid English
- Communication skills, reliability, and willingness to work in a group-wide team
- Willingness to travel
