Your Responsibilities
As a Project Mechanic, you are responsible, together with your colleagues, for the installation of projects, maintenance, and repair work on-site (customer location). For this position, you will spend 75% of your time abroad. On-site, you distribute tasks to colleagues and subcontractors, provide instructions on the work to be performed, or carry out the work yourself. You ensure that a project is delivered ready for use before it is handed over to the Commissioning Engineer.
Location: Koog aan de Zaan, The Netherlands (with regular travel, 75% abroad)
Position within the organization: This position is part of the Service division and reports directly to the Service Manager.
Team size: You will work with a team of 25 colleagues. The team consists of Project Mechanics, Commissioning Engineers, After Sales, and Customer Support.
International connections: Due to the global structure of our group, regular coordination takes place with international branches, particularly with our branch in Emmerich (Germany).
Your Tasks:
- Ensure all work preparation data, materials, and tools are complete before starting assignments at customer sites.
- Oversee and execute the on-site installation of projects at customer locations.
- Perform all required maintenance and repair tasks efficiently and safely.
- Act as the primary on-site point of contact for customers during projects or machine maintenance.
- Ensure projects are fully prepared and ready for handover to the Commissioning Engineer.
- Guarantee that installations and project start-ups are executed according to
specifications and customer requirements. - Maintain accurate daily reports documenting the progress and completion of project tasks.
- Basic knowledge of ERP and office systems
