At the earliest date possible, we search for a Purchasing Agent (m/f/d) for our organisational unit Global Supply Chain/Procurement.

These are your tasks:

  • Independent handling of all purchasing processes from the scheduling up to the invoice verification in cooperation with the relevant stakeholders
  • Preparation of demand analyses based on forecasts
  • Strategic purchase with practical application of purchasing tools (ABC, XYZ analyses, Kraljic matrix, etc.) as well as risk assessments
  • Contract design and negotiation with suppliers in national and international procurement markets (focus: raw materials like steel and stainless steel, bin construction, extended workbench, catalogue articles)
  • Analysis and assessment of SQL data bases to optimise purchasing
  • Utilisation and maintenance of ERP systems (e.g. AMS, Ridder)
  • Preparation and processing of assessments and reports, particularly with Excel
  • Willingness to do business trips (approx. 20 %) for supplier appointments, negotiations and market research

What you need to bring:

  • Successfully completed commercial or technical training, ideally with further training in purchasing or supply chain management
  • Relevant professional experience concerning purchasing, preferably in a technical environment
  • Experience with ERP systems (AMS and/or Ridder) and SQL data bases
  • Profound knowledge concerning MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Analytical way of thinking and working, own initiative and structed way of working
  • Negotiating skills and assertiveness
